Registered Nurse – Corrections

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse – Corrections to provide comprehensive nursing care to incarcerated individuals in a correctional healthcare setting. This role ensures the delivery of quality care while maintaining safety, security, and professional boundaries within a controlled environment.

Job Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and deliver nursing care to inmates in accordance with established protocols and correctional policies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations as prescribed.
• Respond to emergencies, perform triage, and manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
• Monitor and document patient progress, symptoms, and responses to care accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and correctional officers to support holistic care.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards.
• Support mental health needs and crisis intervention when necessary.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience, preferably in emergency, psych, or correctional nursing.
• Knowledge of correctional health policies, HIPAA, and OSHA requirements.
• Ability to remain calm and effective in a secure and sometimes high-stress environment.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
