Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs, goals, and physician direction. This role involves the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that allow for effective community reintegration.

As an educator, the therapist will mentor patients, families, students, coworkers, and pursue self-education, while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and the development of discipline-specific therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Utilize clinical reasoning to develop treatment plans and goals aimed at progressing patients towards discharge.
• Document care accurately and timely, including goal writing, assessments, and medical necessity letters.
• Participate in student programs by providing supervision and evaluations.
• Develop a professional growth plan and pursue continuing education.
• Maintain compliance with discipline-specific State Practice Act and other regulatory agencies.
• Adhere to performance improvement methodologies to enhance quality of services.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active license for the state where the work will be performed.
