Outpatient Physical Therapist
Job Description
The Outpatient Physical Therapist will evaluate all assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patient's needs, goals, and physician direction. This role is responsible for the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate a return to community activities. The therapist will also serve as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and utilize clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
- Complete medical record documentation in a clear, concise, accurate, and timely manner, in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in a student program as assigned, providing supervision and developing learning objectives.
- Actively pursue professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional activities.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
- Demonstrate awareness of performance improvement methodologies to enhance service quality.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
- 1 to 2 years of outpatient orthopedic experience preferred; new graduates will be considered.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Active and applicable license for the state in which work will be performed.
- Prior experience with Select Medical is a plus.
Schedule
This position offers a 5x8.0 schedule, starting June 22nd.
