Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, part of Jefferson Health, is seeking a board-certified academic Urogynecologist Physician to join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.Job Description
The successful candidate will provide comprehensive, patient-centered urogynecologic care. Clinical duties involve the evaluation and management of a wide spectrum of pelvic floor disorders. This includes diagnosing and treating urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, voiding dysfunction, overactive bladder, mesh complications, and other complex conditions.
Physicians are expected to perform routine and advanced in-office diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including urodynamics and cystoscopy.
Furthermore, the role requires providing expert operative management across the full scope of Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery, while collaborating with colleagues across specialties to provide integrated care plans for patients.
As a faculty member at Sidney Kimmel Medical College, the physician will play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of medical professionals. Responsibilities encompass actively educating and mentoring medical students and residents within our busy OB/GYN residency program, which currently trains six residents per year.
Educational duties include providing hands-on clinical instruction in ambulatory care settings, surgical suites, and during inpatient consultations. Faculty members are also expected to participate in curriculum development, which involves didactic teaching, leading case conferences, and designing simulation or skills education modules to enhance trainee competency.
