The Physician Assistant provides medical care and care coordination, increases patient access and contributes to improved quality for patients across all disciplines in the Temple Health University System. The Physician Assistant practices medicine on healthcare teams with physicians and other providers to improve coordination of care and improve patient outcomes. The Physician Assistant takes medical histories, conducts physical exams, diagnoses and treats illnesses, orders and interprets tests, develops treatment plans, counsels on preventive care, assists in surgery and writes prescriptions all in accordance with their scope of practice, licensure guidelines, and in collaboration with the supervising physician.
Education
Other \: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. (Required)
Experience
1 year experience as a Physician Assistant (Preferred)
License/Certifications
MPA-LIC - PA Medical Physician Asst Lic (Required)
NCCPA - Certified Physician Assistant (Required)
Schedule
7PM-7AM (3 shifts per week or 6 shifts bi-weekly
Critical Care PA/NP at a University based Cancer Center seeking providers with surgical background and critical care experience to supplement nocturnist and intensivist coverage from 7p-7a in a 100 bed hospital and 8 bed ICU. Requires a surgical focus and procedural skills a plus. Clear delineation of practice scope with close support.
