Occupational Therapist (Full-Time)

Location: Private School in Newtown, Bucks County

Schedule: Full-Time (Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm) with an extended school year (ESY)

At Potential Inc., we believe in the power of Potential - specifically, the potential within every individual with Autism. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to apply therapeutic techniques to treat students so that they can reach maximum performance levels and use their learned skills to the fullest, to function in the community, within their capabilities. Responsibilities include;

  • Integrate occupational therapy treatment into an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) program for current clients/students.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate instructional plans.
  • Collect and provide measurable data and any barriers encountered.
  • Promote a culture/climate of open communication, collaboration, and shared accountability for the delivery of quality programs and services amongst the staff.

Skills

  • Experience working with autistic children or in special education settings.
  • Familiarity with adaptive equipment and assistive technology.
  • Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is beneficial.

Qualifications

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy
    • Must be from an Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE)-accredited program
  • Passed the Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) licensure examination
  • Occupational Therapy licensure to practice in the state of Pennsylvania
