Position Summary:
Holtec International’s Nuclear Power Division (NPD) is currently seeking Electrical Engineers (Entry-Level and Mid-Level) to join the Site Technical Services group which primarily operates out of Camden, NJ. The Electrical Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the smooth implementation and execution of engineering projects. The Electrical Engineer develops various technical products and assists with coordination of project deliverables to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet required quality standards. This role involves a combination of technical expertise, organizational proficiency, and effective communication skills.

Primary Job Functions:
This position will support various engineering projects with the following general responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review Engineering Change Packages to install, replace, or upgrade existing plant equipment to ensure long-term equipment reliability.
  • Prepare and review scoping documents for conceptual designs, including performing constructability reviews.
  • Establish design and quality requirements for electrical equipment to be used in Nuclear Power Plant systems.
  • Prepare and review system function and design requirement specifications, detailed engineering calculations, and procurement specifications.
  • Prepare reports that present technical and project information in a clear and concise manner and meet client requirements.
  • Interface with project team members from other engineering and design disciplines (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, etc.).
  • Ensures good engineering practices are implemented by researching and applying Operating Experience and Lessons Learned.
  • Initiate frequent exchanges with team members to resolve open issues, promote a supportive team approach, and address potential risks to project execution.
  • Support travel to client sites (based on project specific needs) for design reviews to support construction coordination and field verification of designs.

Qualification Requirements for Individual:
  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to travel between company, vendor, and client sites as required.
  • Ability to obtain nuclear power plant access as required.
  • Excellent attention to detail and capable of producing error-free documents.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and complete work in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering systems design and analysis concepts.
  • Prefer previous nuclear experience, but not required.
  • Prefer E.I.T. Certification, but not required.
  • U.S. Citizenship
