WHAT YOU WILL DO
 
As a Commissioning Project Manager, you will be part of our Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) team which focuses on assuring that projects are installed and operated to meet design and owner requirements.  You will be leading and overseeing multiple projects with a focus on standalone building commissioning.  You will be responsible for utilizing Genesis philosophy applied to industry standard practices to plan and implement a commissioning program for various projects.  Responsibilities can include (not limited to):
  • Project management / lead roles; project team leader
  • Working on multiple projects
  • Daily coordination with the project team
  • Hold project meetings and issue meeting minutes as required
  • Track and manage project financials, deliverables, and schedule
  • Review and understand the project scope
  • Notify Genesis management and clients about changes in project scope and write change orders as needed
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Timely communication with the client to report status and obtain documentation needed to perform commissioning services.
  • Oversee and participate in the document development process with Genesis personnel
  • Track documentation development and execution status using Genesis document tracking tools.
  • Coordinate and schedule commissioning execution with the contractors and owners.
  • Maintain commissioning execution tracking tools through the project lifecycle.
  • Perform commissioning execution onsite as required to support project goals
  • Responsible for ensuring all issues and deviations are being tracked and leading the resolution with the project team
  • Develop summary reports and ensure proper project turnover
  • Responsible for ensuring all deliverables meet the quality expectations of Genesis and the client.
  • Train and mentor commissioning engineers
  • Manage time effectively and efficiently to meet project budget requirements
  • Report project status and issues to Genesis management on a timely basis
  • Account Management
  • Proposal writing
Minimum Qualifications
  • Min of 7 years experience
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical or engineering field.
  • Must be self-motivated, a go-getter, resourceful, organized
  • Must be comfortable in a construction site environment and put safety first.
  • Relevant experience in the field of construction, startup, and/or design
  • Understanding of industry commissioning guidelines.
  • Experienced in writing and executing commissioning test protocols.
  • Proficient with MS Office suite of programs (Word, Excel at a minimum)
  • Strong computer skills, proficient with MS Office applications
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Office is based in Philadelphia, client locations will vary
  • Overnight travel will be required when supporting out-of-town projects
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project management certification (PMP) or a Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Technical writing
  • Experience with Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Life Science industries
  • General experience and understanding of cGMP environments, standard industry CQV and regulatory requirements, and good documentation practices
  • Experience with some or all of the following:
    • Laboratory Facilities
    • Hospital Facilities
    • HVAC Equipment
    • Building Automation Systems (BAS)
    • Central Plant Equipment (chilled water, steam, heating hot water)
    • MEP Building Systems
    • Electrical Distribution Equipment
