The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is responsible for the provision of advanced Clinical Pharmacy services in a very dynamic Bone Marrow Transplant Inpatient and Outpatient unit and within acute and ambulatory care settings including, clinical interface with physicians and advanced practice nurses, process improvement and medication therapy management. Reviews medication orders for compliance with aspects of Pharmaceutical Care. Provides patient education regarding medications. Contributes to specialty practice through committee participation and development of policies, procedures, and pharmacy practice protocols. Trains pharmacy students and pharmacy practice residents. Trains pharmacist staff in areas related to acute and ambulatory care. Directly contributes to patient care through the coordination of departmental clinical practices and programs. Provides in-service education and drug information to health care professionals. Collaborate with research staff to provide investigational drug services.
Education
Bachelors Degree \: Pharmacy or PharmD (Required)
Other \: PGY1 Pharmacy Residency or a relevant combination of education and experience (Required)
Experience
1 Year experience in institutional practice or residency (Required)
License/Certifications
RPH-LIC - PA Pharmacist License (Required)
BCPS - Cert Pharmacotherapy Spec (Preferred)
