Located in the Chestnut Hill section of Philadelphia, Chestnut Hill Hospital is a 148-bed, community based, university-affiliated, teaching hospital committed to excellent patient-centered care.  Chestnut Hill Hospital provides a full range of inpatient and outpatient, diagnostic and treatment services for people in northwest Philadelphia and eastern Montgomery County.  With more than 300 board-certified physicians, Chestnut Hill Hospital's specialties include minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery, cardiology, gynecology, oncology, orthopedics, urology, family practice and internal medicine.  Chestnut Hill Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and is affiliated with university-hospitals in Philadelphia for heart and stroke care and residency programs.

Temple Health plans to acquire Chestnut Hill Hospital as part of an alliance with Redeemer Health and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.  The newly-named Temple Health-Chestnut Hill Hospital will be managed by Temple Health and the transaction is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2022.

Job Summary 
The Advanced Practitioner functions as a primary health care provider with the responsibility of managing health related problems and conditions. Serves as a clinical leader and works closely with the physicians in managing pre and post op patients, assist with outpatient care, administration of medication, order necessary labs or tests, prescriptions and appropriate documentation of patient charts. This includes consultations for in person, office visits and phone consults with management or others as applicable. Works within specific department with physicians, surgeons and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals in coordinating and delivering patient care and facilitating communication between the patient and family members as applicable, various hospital departments, the Nursing Team and the Medical Staff on specific indicated issues. Functions as a clinical expert in the area, program or department assigned; dependent on departmental assignment, may be required to have weekend coverage, inpatient consults, rounds, and assists surgeons in specified activities in the operating room.



Education 
• Masters Degree (Required)



Licenses and Certifications 
• BLS - Basic Life Support (Required)
• CRNP - PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner (Required)
• RN-LIC - PA Registered Nurse License (Required)
